ep 01: the

pony

wrangler

Check out Episode 01 with a very special guest: My 9-year-old daughter, Nova. She talks about her experience at her favorite place in the world, Switch Willo Camp, among other topics.

A horsegirl-led podcast about interesting people and their lives.

Meet the Host

By day, Hillary Sotello serves as a federal disaster-recovery grant specialist. Beyond her professional role, she embraces a multifaceted life as a mother and a wife, and fancies herself a bit of a renaissance woman. She also happens to be an amateur equestrian, which is a hint at the title of this podcast.

Hillary was born and raised in a small town, south of San Antonio, Texas. Adjacent to a cattle ranch, her home was filled with pets and the occasional wildlife rehab case. She also enjoyed a series of ponies and horses throughout her childhood. Though she grew up casually riding in playdays and local rodeos, her more committed equestrian journey didn’t start until her mid-30’s. It was then that the nagging idea for a podcast turned into a full-fledged endeavor.

When she isn’t editing audio, you can find her at your local renaissance faire, racking up mileage with her run group, sewing or crafting, lifting weights at the gym, attending a Star Wars convention, or most likely, yapping at the barn and loving on her off-the-track thoroughbred, Wally.
