why hhg?
After kicking around the idea of a podcast for several years, I finally got the guts and got over my embarrassment, and pitched the idea to my husband and a few friends. They were supportive and excited about the idea so I figured maybe it was worth exploring. I have always enjoyed the art of conversation and bonds formed through shared stories and experiences. I love learning about new experiences and discussing different perspectives from various types of people. So why not ask if I can record some of these conversations? It wasn’t until I joined my current barn that I decided to finally do it. I truly believe I was inspired by the intersection of grit and vulnerability - as well as by our community of truly caring and supportive people.
A year and some change later, I’m now host, creator, producer, marketing department, and everything else it takes to get this out to the world!
That’s the spirit of Hey Horse Girl.
Life is too short. Just make it happen as best you can, one step at a time, even if it is messy along the way. Maybe you’ll take a few steps back, but you’ll get there - and probably have a good story to tell.
